Eric and Eli launched Speaker Labs in 2016 to focus on two things they’re deeply passionate about: communication and teaching.
They first crossed paths as faculty members at the Ivey Business School, where they had the privilege of teaching packed lecture halls every day. It was there that they fell in love, not with each other (though they are best friends), but with the art of teaching. Helping others grow became more than a job; it became a lifelong passion.
After their time in academia, they ventured into the fast-paced world
of tech startups (they are millennials, after all). What stood out in every role, at every level, was one consistent truth: strong communication is the cornerstone of success. Whether in boardrooms, pitches, or team meetings, the ability to express ideas clearly and confidently was a challenge many professionals faced — and Eric and Eli felt drawn to help solve it.
So, they took the leap.
They turned their passion into a company: Speaker Labs.
Today, Eric and Eli travel the world to train leaders and teams at some of the world’s top organizations, including Google, Shopify, RBC, Uber
(to name a few) helping professionals unlock their communication potential and speak with clarity, confidence, and impact.
